customer"s modem at the splitter, line access point, cable distribution
cabinet or main distribution frame for use in rapidly tracking down
problems. The VIT-A2 is easy to hook up and get
running. The device shows whether a DSL connection is properly
configured within only a few seconds.

Reading out connection parameters
Using
the FastEthernet interface, you can read out connection parameters such
as the line attenuation, noise margin, data rates in the upstream and
downstream directions, number of synchronization attempts and bit
allocation (graphical presentation format). Software is included for
use in creating and managing test reports with all relevant measurement
data.
VIT-A2 can be refitted with a Bluetooth module enabling operation in combination with a PDA.
