HAMEG
- 50 YEARS OF SUCCESS IN TEST & MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT
HAMEG
Instruments GmbH proudly looks back on a nearly 50-years' track
record. Lots of engineers did their vocational training on HAMEG
products and they like the sturdy instruments which are easy to
operate.
HAMEG proudly looks back on a nearly
50-years' track record. In 1957 Karl Hartmann incorporated the HAMEG
GmbH in the atmosphere of decampment during the years of the German
economic miracle in his small workshop in Frankfurt/Main. His primary
product that he developed, built and sold on his own was a 5 MHz
mono channel oscilloscope which was an innovative instrument then.
Subsequently HAMEG rapidly made a good
name for innovative oscilloscope type series, which excelled in
reliability and workmanship at a hitherto unknown rate. These took
root in the market, last but not least due to an excellent
price-performance ratio.
Nowadays HAMEG is well-established as
developer and manufacturer of outstanding measuring instruments for
science, industry and education. HAMEG, headquartered in Mainhausen
(Rhine-Main-Area), has since gone global. Product development and
production are centralized in Germany (Mainhausen and
Münchenbernsdorf) and France utilising a global network of
service- and distribution partners, who provide service and support
for our customers on site.
Basic concept of HAMEG's continual
success is the idea of "Standard of value". Our philosophy
is development of electronic measuring instruments, which are not
only excellent regarding performance and reliability, but also grant
maximum flexibility, in order to fully meet with both specifications
— critical jobs in laboratory and the field of production as well
as tests. Last not least we still ensure an excellent
price-performance ratio!
Last but not least another main
principle that made HAMEG one of leading manufacturers of
oscilloscopes: Focusing on the essential. We ensure easiest possible
operation of our instruments, but do not abandon essential and
important operation modes.
In 2005 the company's founder Karl
Hartmann steps down for reasons of age and the german electronics
company Rohde & Schwarz takes over HAMEG GmbH. The company's name
changes to HAMEG Instruments GmbH.
